Art is back
at the Lansing Library.
Stop in and see Geri Gay’s work on display in our Community Room. Selections from her book, “Pandemic Postings: The Lighter Side of a Dark Time” provide a whimsical exploration of the events of 2020-22 in cartoons painted in watercolors. Topics range from fake news and pandemic fashion to conspiracy theories and the political divide. Geri’s work is infused with a great deal of dry wit that really makes you think – and laugh.
On Saturday, May 7th at 11:00am at the Lansing Town Hall, Geri will be presenting her work and sharing her thoughts on the rollercoaster years of 2020-22 (https://lansinglibrary.org/…/pandemic-postings-with…/). Geri will talk about her process and inspiration, as well as answer questions from the audience. Copies of Geri’s book will be available for purchase.
Geri Gay is the Kenneth J. Bissett Professor Emerita of Communication and Information Science at Cornell University and a Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow. She founded and directed the Interaction Design Lab at Cornell from 1995-2017. She specialized in design and social psychology.
