Lansing Community Library Cards

A library card is free, and allows you to borrow materials from the Lansing Community Library.  To apply, simply come to the library and fill out the form available at the circulation desk. Alternatively, Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL) has an online application that will allow you access to our virtual collections when the library is closed.

You can use your card at any of the Finger Lakes Library System’s 33 member libraries.

With each card/account you can check out up to:

50 Books

5 Audiobooks

5 DVDs

2 Video Games

5 New Books

Requesting Materials

This brochure from the Finger Lakes Library System details how to search the library catalog, how to place a hold on a specific title or volume from any of the member libraries, and how to request out-of-system inter-library loan.

Children under age 12 need a parent/guardian’s permission to get their own cards.
