Week 3 was a dog-gone good time!
All of the Tie-dye pet bandana Take and Make Kits were picked up and now we have some adorable pictures of bandana-wearing pets (and kids) to share with you (see slide show below). Miss Katie checked on the SPCA pets who had adoption posters here at the library and found out that most of them have been adopted into their furever families! Yay! We have heard reports that many teens and children have been keeping up with their weekly reading hoping to win the grand prize – an Apple Watch and Nintendo Switch Lite, respectively. Keep on reading! The Cornell Raptor Program came by and the undergraduate volunteers brought four feathered friends for everyone to meet and learn about. A big thank you to the Cornell students for giving us the chance to get up close to two owls, a falcon, and a hawk.
The slide show below has some great pictures of crafts, readers, pets, and the visiting raptors. The Week 3 Challenges page has even more cute snaps.
We are excited to announce the Week 3 weekly winners for Summer Reading 2021!
They are:
Children – Della F.
Teens – Adam G.
Adults – Emilie A.
Congratulations to our winners – we hope you enjoy your gift cards!
July is almost over, but there’s still lots more fun coming up in August – see what’s happening for Week 4!
