We’re thrilled to feature the work of talented local artist Katie Senft in our newest exhibition, Scenes from Here.
Katie’s abstract and semi-abstract landscapes are inspired by the quiet beauty of the Finger Lakes. Her paintings capture still moments—the curve of a trail, the glow of a changing sky, the calm of being present in nature.
Using acrylic and gouache on paper or canvas, Katie layers color, texture, and line to explore light, movement, and space. Some works begin with a specific place—a walk through a gorge or the view from her window—while others emerge from memory, emotion, or even the simple shape of a flower.
