Foundational Hand is an elegant, legible script that, as its name suggests, provides an excellent foundation for learning broad-edge calligraphy. Developed by Edward Johnston in the early 1900s as a teaching hand for his calligraphy students, this classic style is perfect for beginners.
During this 2.5-hour workshop, instructor Brenna O’Toole will guide participants through live demonstrations and provide detailed handouts to help you practice and understand this beautiful script. No previous calligraphy experience is required. This workshop is open to teens and adults who are interested in exploring the joy of lettering.
