Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga with Rev. Sam Swartz
Join us for an hour of adaptive, accessible yoga at the Lansing Community Library. In this class, Sam (Yoga Alliance: E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, RCYT®, YACEP®) will guide participants through seated yoga poses, breathwork, deep relaxation, and meditation.
Sam practices yoga from a wheelchair and brings more than 15 years of experience as a former ashram resident, certified yoga teacher, and new Ithaca resident. He studied at the Integral Yoga Institute and teaches Hatha Yoga, adaptive yoga, chair yoga, meditation, children’s yoga, and Hasya Yoga.
This class, offered in partnership with Lifelong, is a supportive and welcoming space for anyone interested in experiencing the benefits of yoga. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for a wide range of movement. Suggested donation: $5
Mah Jongg

Wednesdays at 10:00 AM | LCL Community Room
Play American Mah Jongg in an informal, relaxed setting. The Library has Mah Jongg sets and cards. Join in! Beginners welcome!
Tai Chi Class

Fridays at 10:30 AM | LCL Community Room
T’ai Chi promotes balance, flexibility, coordination, and reduces pain. T’ai Chi is also known to lower the risk of falls, increase energy levels, enhance sleep, and reduce stress and anxiety. Using precise, fluid movements, T’ai Chi will dissolve tension, increase your strength, cardiovascular fitness, and leave you with a greater awareness, calmness, and overall sense of wholeness.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
